History isn’t just about what happened—it's about understanding why it matters.
Studying prehistory illuminates the early stages of human evolution, tracing how we developed from primitive hominids to complex beings. It reveals the cultural practices, artistic expressions, and technological innovations of our ancestors. By understanding their adaptation to environments, we learn about their survival strategies and how they shaped their surroundings. The shift from hunting and gathering to agriculture marked a monumental change, leading to permanent settlements and complex societies. Prehistory provides the foundation for understanding the development of language, trade, and social hierarchies, offering a deeper connection to our past and a greater appreciation for the transformative processes that have shaped human history. It's like peering into the dawn of humanity's story, isn't it?

Now I think that is lamentable, particularly when the people who propose those kinds of stories may themselves be aware of the speculative nature of some of that stuff."
